We all need to belong somewhere.

 

The Ask: Create a graphically-led campaign using typography to promote peace, dignity, and universal human rights around the world.

 
 

Google's Noto typeface, supporting over 1,000 different languages, served as our inspiration in its ability to overcome the obstacle of unrecognized type, or, "tofu."

We decided to showcase this typographic achievement and how it can serve humanity in digital spaces.

If their words can't be read or seen, how can humans be heard or understood? How can they belong anywhere?

The aforementioned “tofu.”

 
 

The result, we hope, is a campaign showcasing how a technological achievement can translate to a humanitarian endeavor.

When all languages can be recognized, we can all belong here.
